Ile Napoléon Station
Inaugurated in 1878 with the opening of the railway line connecting Mulhouse to Müllheim, Mulhouse station is an iconic building from this era. Still operational today, it highlights the city's strategic importance in the Alsace rail network. Nearby, two historic buildings, the signalman's house at 2 and 4 rue du Dépôt, also date from this period. These structures, still visible, recall the central role played by signalmen in managing rail traffic at the end of the 19th century.
