Among the must-see sites, the Burnkirch Church, founded in the 8th century but rebuilt in the 15th century, houses remarkable frescoes in its choir as well as the tomb of Frédéric de Burnkirch, who died in 1376 during a conflict against English bands. Nearby, the old 14th-century bell tower surprises visitors with its interior entirely covered in frescoes.
The Saint-Brice Chapel, perched on the Britzgyberg, bears witness to a turbulent history: founded in the 16th century, destroyed during the Revolution, then rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century, it has been recently restored. This site, also known for its protohistoric past, invites visitors to enjoy a pleasant walk.
The German military cemetery, established in 1920 and 1931, contains nearly 2,000 soldier graves, including that of Lieutenant Mayer, the first German casualty of World War I, killed on August 2, 1914. Finally, the 6.5 km marked Haulenwald trail allows visitors to discover the historical remains on the heights of Tagolsheim and Heidwiller through educational panels, for a walk of about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
