Jean-André Silbermann Organ
The organ of the Saint-Maurice Church in Soultz-les-Bains is a historic gem built in 1762 by Jean-André Silbermann, a famous Alsatian organ builder.
Originally intended for the Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Church in Strasbourg, it features a Louis XV-style case adorned with a depiction of the keys of Saint Peter, symbolizing its Strasbourg origin.
Transferred to Soultz-les-Bains in 1865 by the Stiehr-Mockers organ builders, the instrument underwent modifications as early as 1848.
Today, it retains many original pipes as well as wedge-shaped bellows, the last remnants of Silbermann's work still in working condition.
