Joseph Gross Wines Estate

Located in Wolxheim, at the heart of the Alsatian Golden Crown and at the start of the wine route, the Gross family winery is rooted in an exceptional terroir.

The village is renowned for its riesling, produced from two emblematic plots: the Grand Cru Altenberg de Wolxheim, backed by the limestone cliff of the Horn, which yields elegant wines, and the Rothstein site, facing south and protected by the former royal quarry, which produces subtle and refined wines.

The estate offers paid tastings for groups, as well as a tasting room open to the public. It is also possible to organize tastings accompanied by a meal. The tasting room highlights Alsace appellations: AOC Alsace, Crémant d'Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru Altenberg, as well as Late Harvest wines. The estate is closed on Sunday afternoons.
