Jungholtz
Two kilometers from Soultz and six from Guebwiller, Jungholtz stretches out in a preserved natural setting at the foot of the Grand Ballon. This peaceful village charms visitors with numerous opportunities for relaxation and leisure, notably thanks to a 1000 m² hotel and spa offering high-end wellness services.
Sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy: hiking trailheads and mountain biking routes suitable for all levels crisscross the area, while horseback and carriage rides, as well as a visit to the stork park, promise moments of discovery for all ages. The scenic Route des Crêtes, accessible via the Col Amic in summer, allows exploration of the magnificent landscapes of the Grand Ballon and the Vosges.
Nearby, the Basilica of Thierenbach, a major pilgrimage site dedicated to the Virgin Mary, attracts over 150,000 visitors annually. Its interior, adorned with more than a thousand European ex-votos—paintings, wooden or marble plaques, and various objects—offers a poignant testimony to past eras and ways of life.
