Katz House
In the center of Saverne, near the Town Hall, stands a house dating back to 1605. Commissioned by Henri Katz, general receiver of the Bishopric, this residence is one of the oldest in the city. Its half-timbered carved facade elegantly showcases the German Renaissance style.
Formerly used as a butcher shop and then as a cooperage, the building now houses a restaurant: the Katz Tavern.
