Kilstett Casemate
In the Forêt subdivision stands the Kilstett casemate, a military structure built between 1932 and 1934 as part of the Maginot Line.
Classified in the third line of defense, known as the village line, this casemate's mission was to block passage on the dirt roads connecting Kilstett to the Rhine forest. It was intended to prevent any enemy infiltration coming from the forest, located about 500 meters southeast of the village.
To explore its interior facilities, it is necessary to join a guided tour, available by reservation only. Access to this site is occasional and depends on opening conditions.
