Kintzheim Castle

Kintzheim Castle, mentioned as early as 1270 as the property of the Rathsamhausen family, was acquired by the town of Sélestat at the end of the 15th century. Damaged during the Thirty Years' War, it was bought in 1649 by the former mayor of the town, who undertook partial restoration of the keep, the residence, and the chapel. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1964, the site now houses the Volerie des Aigles.

This attraction offers a captivating show where the world's largest birds of prey fly freely. It is a rare opportunity to observe up close birds that are otherwise inaccessible in their natural environment.

Combining emotion and thrills, the flight of eagles, vultures, kites, and falcons within the majestic walls of Kintzheim Castle provides a unique and memorable experience.
