Koch's Berg

In 1988, the first snails appeared at the heliciculture farm in Kochersberg, located in Mittelhausen.

Twenty-two years later, after a long period of relocation, these gastropods finally arrived in Birkenwald.

Today, Rémy Koehl raises the snails under the name "Les Escargots de Birkenwald." This journey, which began in Kochersberg, has continued to this village where the farming goes on.
