Koechlin School
Built in 1865 in the city of Mulhouse, this school was the third to be constructed in the neighborhood.
Barely ten years after its opening, it already required expansion to meet growing demand.
Its architecture reflects the standards of the time: two elongated classroom buildings arranged on either side of a central courtyard.
A strict separation was maintained between areas reserved for boys and those for girls.
At the heart of the courtyard stood the caretaker's lodge, while separate sanitary facilities completed the complex. The building was distinguished by its marked architectural simplicity.
Electricity was installed in 1921. Today, the building is not open to the public.
