Kriegsheim

Nestled in the rolling hills north of Brumath, the village of Kriegsheim has about 800 inhabitants.

Its history is marked by visits from notable figures: Emperor Maximilian in 1507, King Henry II of France in 1552, General de Gaulle in 1959, and more recently Nicolas Sarkozy.

Agriculture plays a major role here, with 88% of the land dedicated to very active vegetable and fruit cultivation.

Craftsmanship and local commerce are also steadily growing. Two farms already offer direct sales: Au Panier de la Ferme and Ferme Behl. A third is expected to open soon, providing more opportunities to buy fresh, local products.

Additionally, many associations enliven village life through regular sports and cultural events, contributing to a valued community spirit.
