La Cloche à Fromage Restaurant
Founded in 1988 by René Tourrette, the restaurant La Cloche à Fromage marks the beginning of the Tourrette family's journey. Its original concept, recognized by the Guinness Book of Records in 1989, is based on a unique piece of furniture in the restaurant industry, replaced in 2016 by a more efficient model. Standing 1.96 meters tall and 1.88 meters wide, it can store up to 90 varieties of cheese while ensuring their optimal aging thanks to modern technologies.
Whether you are an expert, enthusiast, or simply curious, the master cheesemakers guide you through the terroirs, herds, and seasons in a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant offers themed tasting platters, a signature fondue available in several versions, raclette served on a traditional grill, as well as other specialties. The menu also includes à la carte dishes and seasonal daily specials, often enhanced with a cheesy touch.
All cheeses are aged in a dedicated cellar where they fully develop their aromas. The dishes, homemade and prepared on-site, highlight fresh products and original recipes.
