La Grange d’Hannah: the cottage

Perched in the heart of the Alsatian Vosges, "La Grange d’Hannah" is an exceptional holiday cottage that combines authentic charm with modern comfort. Located in a secluded hamlet of the village of Orbey, this preserved farmhouse opens onto generous nature, at the foot of a long-distance hiking trail leading to Lac Blanc via an ancient Roman road. The main farmhouse, facing south, houses a private spring supplying drinking water, while the barn, converted into the cottage, respects local architecture with its larch cladding. Nearby, a log cabin shelters the family’s horses, adding to the bucolic atmosphere of the place.

Inside, the cottage blends tradition and modernity. The ground floor includes a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, induction hob, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, etc.), a boudoir lounge with an Alsatian faience stove (kachelhoffe), and a unique bathroom with a Napoleon III bathtub, shower, stone basin, and washing machine. Upstairs, two sleeping areas offer four beds (double bed, single beds, or king-size bed), opening onto a lounge with a large TV and internet access. An extra bed and a baby cot are available on request.

Outside, a wooden terrace with garden furniture and sun loungers invites relaxation, while a barbecue is provided. Rosemary, the hostess, will be happy to advise visitors on walks, restaurants, and local activities for an unforgettable holiday in the heart of Alsace.
