La Marcairie du Rappenkopf Cottage

In the heart of the forest of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park, this independent 32 m² cottage, fully renovated, welcomes you in a peaceful setting at 950 meters altitude, between Lac Vert and Lac du Forlet. Energy self-sufficient thanks to photovoltaic and thermal solar panels, as well as a wood pellet boiler, it is rated 3 keys by Clévacances and 4 storks/4 horseshoes by the CRTE Alsace for its equestrian welcome. Ideal for 2 to 3 people, it is close to many hiking trails, including the GR5, the Storks route for riders, and the TMV for mountain biking enthusiasts.

Access is via an unpaved forest road for the last 3 kilometers, with no snow clearing in winter, requiring suitable equipment (chains).

In Soultzeren, 6 km away, you will find shops and farms offering local products. Several inns and farm inns nearby provide dining options. Two all-terrain electric scooters are available for rent at the cottage to ease travel on forest paths. Inside, the ground floor offers a fully equipped open kitchen, a dining area with a solid walnut worktop, a dishwasher, and an Android TV. A bathroom with dry toilets completes this space. Upstairs, the bedroom has a 160 cm double bed, an 80 cm alcove bed, a desk, and a wardrobe. A large terrace allows you to enjoy meals in nature and observe wildlife or stars.

Rates vary by length of stay: €145 per night for 2 people, €380 for a 3-night package, or €690 per week. The price includes bed linen, towels, cleaning fee, cleaning products, and baby equipment on request. An extra €15 per night is charged for a 3rd adult, plus tourist tax. Pets are not allowed, and the cottage is not accessible to people with reduced mobility. For an eco-friendly stay, you can come by train to Munster station, with round-trip transport provided by the owners. Finally, a meeting with farm animals, horses or Highland cows, is possible on request.
