La Perheux

La Perheux is a preserved natural area perched at altitude, where history and legends intersect.

This site was marked by tragic events in the Middle Ages, notably the extermination of witches, before becoming the setting for revolutionary celebrations, such as the one on July 14, 1790.

Nestled between the valleys of the Schirgoutte and the Rothaine, it overlooks the Ban de la Roche and its emblematic villages:

  • Wildersbach,
  • Waldersbach,
  • Solbach,
  • Rothau, Belmont, and the Champ du Feu.

Twelve hiking trails converge at the Perheux pass, inviting nature lovers to explore breathtaking landscapes. This emotionally charged place leaves no one indifferent.
