La Serva Waterfall

The Serva stream originates in the vast grassy expanses of Champ du Feu, at over 1000 meters altitude.

After a winding course where it loses nearly 500 meters in elevation, it flows into the Rothaine at Haute-Goutte.

Along its descent, it creates several spectacular waterfalls, offering remarkable natural landscapes.

According to local legend, a fairy, the Lady of La Serva, dwells in its clear waters. Described as a creature with silky green hair, dressed in a silver gown, she watches over the stream.

Tradition says those who disrespect nature incur her wrath, manifested as a north wind blowing over the Vosges summits.

Several hiking trails provide access to these waterfalls, inviting visitors to discover this enchanting site.
