Le Meyerhof Cottage

The *** Le Meyerhof cottage is located in Rorschwihr, at the heart of a family estate acquired by the Jung family in 1833. Now managed by the seventh generation, this place is steeped in history: it is a former abbey outbuilding, mentioned as early as the 12th century, linked to the Vosges abbey of Moyenmoutier. After the Revolution, the property, sold as national property, was repurchased by a family member, a brewer from Strasbourg. It was then passed down through different family branches and underwent significant transformations in 1910, carried out by Théodore Boch, a brewer in Lutterbach.

The cottage occupies an exceptional duplex located in the outbuildings of this historic estate. Formerly staff accommodation, it was renovated for the first time fifty years ago, then fully updated and refurbished two years ago.
