Leutenheim
Administratively part of the canton of Bischwiller and the district of Haguenau, Leutenheim is located on the western edge of the Rhine strip known as the Uffried, north of Strasbourg.
Situated on the right bank of the Eberbach River, the village lies at an altitude of 119 meters.
Once characterized by a rural economy of small farmers, Leutenheim no longer has any agricultural operations today. Its territory covers 1,039 hectares.
Three kilometers northwest of the village is the hamlet of Koenigsbruck, which is administratively part of Leutenheim.
This small settlement is nestled in a valley carved by the Sauer River, where the buildings of a Cistercian abbey once stood, founded and later destroyed during the Revolution.
Nearby, the Klosterwald forest, although located within the municipal boundaries of Leutenheim, belongs to the State.
