Linthal
Linthal, whose name evokes the valley of the linden tree, is a mountain village nestled in the Vosges massif. Perched near the Markstein ski resort, located 13 km away and reaching 1,240 meters, and the Grand Ballon, the highest point of the massif at 25 km and 1,424 meters altitude, it overlooks the Florival valley.
Accessible both summer and winter, its privileged position makes it a perfect place for a stay in the heart of nature, between exploring the ridge road and tasting traditional dishes in a farm inn.
According to local legend, Jacob Steiner, a figure linked to Linthal, is said to have imagined the concept of the farm inn after the French Revolution. His innovative farm produced a renowned Gruyère cheese, while his hay barn sometimes served as a dance hall.
Only 7 km from Guebwiller, the village allows for authentic discoveries and heritage, offering an ideal balance between plains and peaks.
