Maison Adolph
Built around 1350, this Colmar house is one of the oldest in the city. It is named after the Adolph family, who in the late 19th century uncovered its Gothic bays dating from the late 14th century. These openings, along with the pointed arch windows, reflect the influence of religious art on the civil architecture of the time. In the 16th century, a third floor and a half-timbered gable were added, features still visible today. Next to it stands a well built in 1592, topped with a beam adorned with two lion heads. Originally located on Rue des Marchands, this well was moved to be attached to the Maison Adolph.
