Maison Faller Brief

This imposing residence in Kaysersberg embodies the elegance of Rhine Renaissance architecture. With its nearly square main body and deep projection, it features half-timbered upper floors, carved and twisted posts, and a ground floor made of pink Vosges sandstone.

Built in 1594 for the cooper Paul Offinger, it still bears the initials of its first owner (P and O), the emblem of his trade, and the dates 1593 and 1594.

Today, this iconic house of the Alsace vineyard houses a restaurant and the Dietrich wine cellar, where visitors can taste and purchase local wines.
