Manufacture La Cigogne

Manufacture La Cigogne is housed in a historic half-timbered house built in 1721. For over twenty years, it has been artisanally producing scented and decorative candles, soaps, home fragrances, as well as ceramics made and fired on site. The building's old cellar hosts a flea market space dedicated to antiques, offering a journey into the past through various collectible items. To better understand the products, a roughly fifteen-minute presentation, available in French and German, explains the manufacturing steps. This demonstration takes place behind glass for safety and hygiene reasons. In the shop, there is a setup for making dipped candles, with animations and demonstrations often organized for groups. The flea market area showcases old tools and molds from pottery workshops now closed in Betschdorf, displayed in cabinets and through video materials. Finally, free exhibitions highlight the history of the building and homing pigeons, including photographs of pigeons from the early 20th century.
