Market Street
In the early 20th century, the town of Rouffach took advantage of a realignment to divide the house located at the corner of Market Street and Marshal Lefèbvre Street. It incorporated an elegant Renaissance door dated 1616, acquired from a nearby old property. The Renaissance well from 1579, the work of Franz Baur, was also installed there. The well bears a German inscription: *Der Gast oft teur mich Kopf beim Wirt komm her zu mir ich schenk dir d'Yrt*, which can be translated as: *The guest often pays dearly at the innkeeper's. Come here to me, I offer you the drink.* Walking along Marshal Lefèbvre Street, one can discover the former course of the Ohmbach, now covered, which once marked the boundaries of Rouffach's historic core.
