Masevaux-Niederbruck, 4-Flower Town

Perched in the southernmost valley of the Vosges, Masevaux is a canton seat dominated by the Ballon d'Alsace, which rises to 1247 meters. The Doller River runs through this town, where the fully renovated pedestrian city center exudes friendliness with its many bars and cafés. Masevaux has been awarded the National Grand Prize for Flowering, reflecting its well-kept and welcoming environment.

Throughout the year, the town offers events and activities to entertain visitors. These include the Jeu de la Passion, a unique theatrical performance telling the life of Christ in German, and the International Organ Festival. The Nativity Scene Trail, featuring various illuminated little houses representing the Nativity, adds a magical touch during the winter season.

Strolling through the streets of Masevaux reveals a rich heritage blending legends and anecdotes. The former abbey, Saint Martin's Church, the rampart turret, and the Petite Venise footbridge invite historical and picturesque exploration. To deepen this discovery, a free brochure available at the Tourist Office offers a tour of remarkable monuments with historical explanations.
