Medicinal Plant Garden
Located near the church of Hattmatt, this garden pays tribute to Hildegard of Bingen, a key figure in medieval herbal knowledge.
Designed as an Herbularius or hortus medicus—typical medieval medicinal plant gardens—it features fifty plant species with recognized therapeutic virtues. Each plant is accompanied by detailed information: its properties, traditional or contemporary uses, as well as contraindications and drug interactions often unknown to the general public.
Visits are free and self-guided, accessible via the church street. Access is possible for one person with reduced mobility if accompanied.
For those wishing to deepen their discovery, guided tours are offered subject to the availability of guides. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance by calling 06 07 82 20 17.
