Meistermann

In the heart of Colmar, facing Place Rapp and its famous carousel, the Meistermann restaurant has been a local gastronomic institution since 1880. Founded by the Meistermann family, the establishment has preserved its soul while evolving under the guidance of Gino Di Foggia since 1986, becoming the quintessential "restaurant of the Colmarians."

The setting, both bourgeois and warm, highlights traditional Alsatian cuisine featuring iconic dishes such as Alsatian-style snails, Bibalaskas with sautéed potatoes and Munster cheese, sliced veal kidneys "Paul Meistermann" with Spätzle, and the must-try tarte flambée. All dishes are homemade using fresh ingredients, mostly sourced from local producers. Inside, the main dining room evokes the elegance of chic 1970s bistros, while upstairs, two large rooms accommodate groups and banquets.

In good weather, the shaded terrace offers a stunning view of Place Rapp, perfect for outdoor gourmet breaks. Whether for a business lunch, family meal, or gathering with friends, Meistermann remains a lively place of tradition and conviviality.
