Meistratzheim

With 1,414 inhabitants, Meistratzheim is an Alsatian village whose history dates back to the Neolithic era, marked by its proximity to a Celtic-Roman road connecting Belfort to Seltz via Brumath. Over the centuries, it was successively owned by several abbeys until 1030, then by the Bishopric of Strasbourg, and finally by the Landsberg family, who held possession until the French Revolution. Today, Meistratzheim stands out for its dynamic local economy, supported by numerous producers specializing in snails, sauerkraut, and poultry.
