Memorial Monument of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Zouaves and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Turcos

This monument, carved from gray sandstone, takes the form of a simple and elegant obelisk.

Its relief decoration highlights three religious symbols: a cross, a crescent, and a Star of David, reflecting the diversity of the soldiers honored.

Erected in memory of the regiments of Zouaves and Turcos who fell in battle, it commemorates their sacrifice during the clashes of August 6 or 8, 1870.
