Memorial Monument of the 1st Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment

Erected at the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century, this monument honors the officers and soldiers of the 1st Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment (No. 46) who died during the battle on August 6, 1870. It takes the form of a column standing on a polygonal pedestal, once topped by an eagle that is now missing. The platform, also polygonal, is surrounded by a wrought iron railing. Relief shields recall three emblematic cities: Sedan, Paris, and Woerth. Finally, metal lion heads, added later, bring a symbolic touch to this memorial about eight meters high.
