Mencke Waterfall

This artificial waterfall was created by diverting the Ziegbach stream around the Mencke rock.

Despite this human intervention, the site retains all its natural magic. Depending on the season, it transforms from a strong jet of water to a gentle, peaceful trickle.

To reach it, you must walk from the Fuschloch forestry house, located about 1 km past Romanswiller towards Wangenbourg.

Then take the small road along the edge of the parking lot and follow the trail marked by a blue cross. Parking is available at the trailhead, and a picnic shelter has been set up at the top of the waterfall, offering a pleasant rest after the walk.
