Meyer Théodore and Sons
The Théo Meyer Estate is a family-run Alsace winery, managed for three generations in Ammerschwihr, in the heart of the Alsace Wine Route.
Founded in 1955 by Théodore and taken over by his son Maurice in 1977, it is now run by his two daughters, Valérie and Muriel, who uphold family values while incorporating modern practices. The 13 hectares of vineyards are cultivated according to sustainable viticulture principles and hold the High Environmental Value label, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental respect and biodiversity preservation.
The estate offers a varied range of Alsace wines: the seven traditional grape varieties, the Grand Crus Kaefferkopf and Sommerberg, an Alsace Crémant, as well as late harvest wines and a Gewurztraminer marc. Each cuvée reflects a dedication to the terroir and excellence, crafted with winemaking methods that respect natural balance.
Visitors are welcomed warmly, with Doris, the founder, sharing her passion for wines. The estate also hosts groups and provides free parking for camper vans. It is open every day except December 25 and 26 and January 1.
