Micro-Folie
The Micro-Folie, designed by the Ministry of Culture and managed by La Villette, is an innovative cultural space that transforms the discovery of art, heritage, and creativity.
Located within the Espace Liberté Media Library, it relies on a digital museum to provide access to treasures from major regional, national, and international institutions, such as the Louvre.
More than just a gallery, it offers an interactive experience with animations, games, workshops, and meetings around various themes: fine arts, architecture, dance, opera, or circus. Activities like "How to read a work?" or "1 work in 30 minutes flat" allow visitors to explore these worlds in a playful way, while creative workshops like "Create your coat of arms" or "The royal herbarium" invite active participation. More specific content, such as "Animals in art" or "The representation of fear," delve into precise topics. Workshops are led by cultural service staff, facilitators dedicated to young audiences, and sometimes external contributors. Thanks to virtual reality headsets, visitors can travel to ancient Greece or Egypt, or discover masterpieces of painting like the Mona Lisa coming to life, through content provided by ARTE. Finally, the Micro-Folie includes a Fab lab equipped with modern digital tools: 3D printer, cutting plotter, thermoforming machine, heat press, or coding and robotics kits, to initiate or deepen skills.
