Monique Meyer

Monique Meyer is a decorator specializing in cold glass work. She masters the ancient technique of reverse glass painting, which involves decorating the inner surface of a glass panel without using heat, unlike stained glass. Her expertise also includes gilding and silvering under glass, decorative processes where metal leaf is applied between two layers of glass. Gilding, called églomisé when used for patterns or inscriptions, and metallization depending on its application, produces luminous and refined effects. Monique Meyer creates custom pieces, fulfilling various commissions such as kitchen backsplashes or decorations for glass furniture.
