Municipal Campsite Les Huttes
The 2-star Les Huttes Campsite, nestled in the heart of the largest forest massif in the Vosges, welcomes you in the mid-mountain resort of Wangenbourg-Engenthal. This campsite offers 40 transient pitches, including 4 chalets, 2 pods, and 2 kotas, as well as 30 pitches reserved for annual stays. Open from April 15 to October 15, it is an ideal base for exploring the natural and heritage riches of the region. Hiking, mountain biking, or leisurely strolls enthusiasts can enjoy generous and preserved nature. On the heritage side, the village features the 13th-century Castle, with its pentagonal enclosure, a large courtyard, and the keep, accessible for self-guided visits year-round (the keep is open from April to November). Nearby, on the Alsace Romanesque Route, the Sainte-Marie de l’Assomption chapel in Obersteigen and its former Romanesque-Gothic cloister, with the Virgin and Child statue, are also worth a visit. An exhibition in the adjoining convent building recounts its history. Wangenbourg-Engenthal is full of attractions for an unforgettable stay.
