Museum of Fine Arts

The Museum of Fine Arts offers an exceptional journey through the history of European painting, from the Middle Ages to 1870. Visitors discover the Italian and Flemish primitives, with works by Giotto and Memling, followed by the Renaissance and Mannerism illustrated by Botticelli and Raphael. The Dutch Golden Age and great Flemish masters, such as Rubens and Van Dyck, are also represented. The Baroque, Classicism, and Naturalism of the 17th and 18th centuries are highlighted with artists like Vouet, Canaletto, and Goya. Finally, the Romanticism and Realism of the 19th century are evoked through major figures like Corot and Courbet.
