Museum of Gods, Goddesses, and Sanctuaries of the Northern Vosges
Behind the church of Langensoultzbach is an old chapel that hosts a permanent exhibition dedicated to Gallic independence, mythology, and the period when the Northern Vosges were part of the Roman Empire.
Excavations conducted in the village after the discovery of Gallo-Roman remains during the church's construction in 1844 revealed the probable existence of a temple dedicated to Mercury at this site.
Several steles, mainly devoted to this god, were found and form the basis of this small museum. The exhibition thus offers insight into this pivotal era of local history.
