Museum of Printed Textiles

The Museum of Printed Textiles (MISE), established in 1955 from 19th-century museums, holds the designation "Museum of France." It stands out as a museum of decorative and industrial art, blending technology, local history, and global textile heritage. Its rich and diverse collections include printed fabrics, graphic arts, archives, sample books, industrial machines and tools, as well as ethnographic and decorative objects. The museum preserves the textile heritage of Mulhouse, along with printing skills and practices on an international scale. Aware that preserving this heritage only has value if shared, MISE embraces contemporary creation by making its works available to modern artists and designers.
