Napoleonic Oaks

These two oaks, over four centuries old, are nicknamed "Napoleon" due to their stocky shape and legendary existence, comparable to that of Emperor Napoleon I.

One reaches 24 meters in height and the other 22 meters, with trunk circumferences of 4.50 meters and 5.85 meters respectively.

These majestic trees survived an old forestry method called coppice with standards, standing as silent witnesses through the ages. Their presence reflects four centuries of rivalries and conflicts that shaped the history of this territory, marked by changes in sovereignty and nationality for its inhabitants. A geocaching cache is also located nearby.
