Neubois

Dominated by the wooded heights of Schlossberg, Neubois stretches out in a green setting in the heart of the Villé valley. This village, awarded the Three Flowers label in the Towns and Villages in Bloom competition, charms with its well-maintained green spaces and peaceful atmosphere, where nature and heritage blend naturally.

Within its territory stands the Frankenbourg Castle, former residence of the Counts of Werde and later property of the Strasbourg bishopric. Perched on a promontory, this historic monument offers a dive into the past while providing breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. Nearby, a pagan wall, a mysterious relic comparable to that of Mont Sainte-Odile, bears witness to ancient occupations and rituals, adding an enigmatic touch to the site's discovery.

Neubois is also a gateway to numerous hikes. The shaded and well-marked trails allow exploration of the nearby forests and access to the summits of the Vosges massif. Between preserved landscapes, spectacular viewpoints, and historic sites, these routes invite a full immersion in an authentic natural setting.
