Niargoutte Garden
Perched in Plaine, within the Bruche Valley, the Niargoutte Garden spans nearly two hectares and houses over a thousand plant species: majestic trees, fragrant shrubs, colorful perennials, and delicate bulbs.
Founded in 2003, this peaceful haven has been cultivated without any pesticides for over twenty years, combining natural growth with carefully designed landscaping to preserve biodiversity and invite relaxation. The atmosphere is calm and rejuvenating, ideal for observation and contemplative strolling.
Since 2024, the garden has held the "Parks & Gardens of Alsace" label, highlighting its botanical richness and the quality of its landscapes.
The site’s house, linked to a local historical event, recalls that on August 14, 1914, during the Battle of Saint-Blaise-la-Roche / Plaine, a German flag was captured there by French troops. Guided tours are offered by appointment from February to November.
