Niederbronn-Les-Bains

Niederbronn-les-Bains owes its origin, name, and fame to its thermal springs, already exploited during Roman times. Today, the town continues this tradition while offering a dynamic cultural and tourist life.

The Archaeology House allows visitors to explore a wide range of objects discovered during excavations in the Northern Vosges, covering a period from prehistory to the Middle Ages. The Janus trail, or "Walk Beyond the Landscape," perfectly complements this discovery by inviting an immersive stroll in the local environment.

Classified as a hydromineral spa since 1926, Niederbronn-les-Bains has preserved its charm while equipping itself with modern facilities for visitors. Among them are the Barrière Casino, a golf course on a track, the "Aqualies" swimming pool, and a varied choice of accommodations and restaurants. The town also organizes numerous events throughout the year, enlivening its city center and attracting a diverse clientele.

Nearby, the Grand Wintersberg, the highest point of the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park, rises to 581 meters above sea level. A panoramic tower has been built there, offering hikers a breathtaking view of the Vosges massif as well as the Black Forest. The site is also crossed by the GR53, a network of marked trails ideal for discovering varied and preserved landscapes.
