Notre Dame Chapel

Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Lalaye-Charbes valley, the Notre-Dame de Lalaye site features a statue of the Virgin made of white-painted sandstone.

Erected in 1865, this statue is inspired by the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, associated with Catherine Labouré.

In 1933, a local priest built a small chapel with a bell tower and a replica of the Lourdes grotto.

According to local tradition, village children were sometimes led to believe that babies were found in the protective rock.
