Notre-Dame Chapel

Built by the Raugel couple, this 19th-century chapel features two mission crosses on its facade, symbols of the rural re-Christianization policy of that era. Inside, the choir and altar, carved from sandstone, reflect a simple and enduring style. The ceiling and wooden benches, more recent additions, add warmth to the space. Two arched windows with donated stained glass softly illuminate the interior. Behind the chapel lies a tombstone dedicated to Caspar von Uhrendorf, a lord who died in 1599. A member of a Strasbourg knightly family, he represents the local history connected to this site.
