Oberbronn
Perched on the first foothills of the sandstone Vosges, the village of Oberbronn charms with its authentic appeal. Its winding streets are lined with half-timbered houses dating from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, where you can still find sandstone door lintels engraved with guild emblems, dates, or the initials of the builders, nearly four centuries old. The Guesthouse of the Sisters of the Most Holy Savior, also known as the Oberbronn Convent Inn, offers a peaceful retreat in its tranquil gardens. A discovery trail highlights the heritage of this former winegrowers' village, now favored by storks that stay here for much of the year. Since 1992, the community has actively worked to preserve the presence of this emblematic Alsace bird.
