Obermorschwiller

Obermorschwiller is a small Alsatian village of 430 inhabitants that has preserved a typical rural Sundgau habitat, characterized by buildings dating from the 16th to the 19th century. Some of these buildings were restored in the 1970s thanks to the efforts of the "Maison Paysanne d’Alsace" association, which also founded the Ecomuseum of Ungersheim. In 2012, a study conducted by Marc Grodwohl and the University of Haute-Alsace highlighted the village church, flanked by two majestic linden trees three centuries old, as well as the surrounding houses. This work led to the creation of an architectural heritage trail inviting visitors to discover the local history and architecture. To facilitate this exploration, the municipality offers a marked trail with explanatory panels, accessible from the town hall or the main street near the school.
