Old Cantonal Court
The Marckolsheim cantonal court stands on the site of a former house that served as the registry of the episcopal bailiwick until the Revolution. Later, it was converted into a boys' school from 1806 to 1857. Today, this stone building houses the justice of the peace's office and the courtroom, which were previously located in the Town Hall. Its façade is notable for a balcony framed by two pilasters with leafy capitals, decorated with cherub heads and topped by a pediment. At the rear of the court stands the old prison, built in the mid-19th century.
