Old Castle of Westhoffen

Built in the 11th century, the Rosenberg Castle originally served as a fortified keep under the authority of the Marmoutier Abbey. Around 1440, in the 15th century, it came into the possession of the Müllenheim Rosenbourg family. In the 17th century, it lost its defensive role and underwent gradual transformations to become a rural dwelling in the 19th century. Today, this castle remains private property and is therefore not open to visitors.
