Old Jewish Cemetery
Nestled at the foot of the Vosges, the old cemetery of the Jewish community of Thann, documented since the Middle Ages, contains more than a hundred graves. The oldest, dating back to the 17th century, provide a valuable testimony of past centuries. Some graves bear funerary symbols characteristic of Jewish tradition. Although a new cemetery has been established on Aspach Road, the old site was classified as a Historic Monument in 2016, along with the nearby synagogue. It remains accessible for visits upon request.
