Old Tannery
Behind this tannery stretched the former course of the Ohmbach, providing it with direct access.
A large opening in the gable allowed treated hides to be hung in the attic to dry in the open air.
The tanning pits, once located where the small square now stands, continued to be used until the early 20th century.
This industrial activity, particularly prosperous in the 18th century, deeply shaped the local landscape and economy of the time.
