Organ by Martin and Joseph Rinckenbach
The organ of the St-Florent Collegiate Church, completed in 1903 by builders Martin and Joseph Rinckenbach, is notable for its composition of two parts: the grand organ, located on the right, and the choir organ, situated on the left.
This current instrument follows several predecessors, of which few traces remain. An organist was mentioned as early as 1578, but the instrument is believed to have disappeared in 1633 during the church fire caused by the Swedes. A new organ was installed after the Thirty Years' War and already existed in 1666 before being moved to Muhlbach-sur-Bruche. In 1730, an organ was commissioned from builders Waltrin and Rohrer, then modified several times. Stiehr took possession in 1871, but his intervention obscured the rose window, which led to its replacement by the current instrument in 1903.
